  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 12 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, sift together the cake flour and 3/4 cup of sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy.
  4. Add the salt and cream of tartar, continue beating until soft peaks form.
  5. Gradually add the remaining sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  6. Gently fold in the flour mixture and vanilla extract.
  7. Spoon the batter into cupcake liners.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
