- 4 large russet potatoes
- 1/2 cup turkey bacon, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake potatoes until tender, about 1 hour.
- Allow potatoes to cool, then peel and dice them.
- In a pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside.
- Melt butter in the pot and add flour, stirring for 1-2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk, cooking until the mixture thickens.
- Add the diced potatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in cheddar cheese, sour cream, and bacon. Heat through.
- Serve hot, garnished with green onions.
