Ingredients

  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  9. Let them cool on a wire rack.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
