Chicken and Waffle Casserole

A delicious blend of crispy waffles and tender chicken, baked to perfection in one hearty casserole dish.

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 cups waffle pieces
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken and waffle pieces.
  3. Add half of the cheese and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the chicken and waffle mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set and golden brown on top.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding diced bell peppers or jalapeños.
  • Serve with extra maple syrup on the side.
