Chicken Pot Pie

A delicious and comforting Chicken Pot Pie with a twist of turkey bacon.

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour until smooth.
  3. Gradually add in the chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  4. Add the cooked chicken, turkey bacon, frozen vegetables, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture into a pie crust.
  6. Top with another pie crust, seal the edges, and cut slits for venting.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use homemade chicken broth.
  • Feel free to substitute with your favorite vegetables.
