  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder, sugar, and melted butter.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract and chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. While the brownies cool, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  8. Spread the mousse over the cooled brownies.
  9. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.
  10. Top with chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure the brownies are completely cool before adding the mousse to prevent it from melting.
  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips in the brownie batter.
