Classic Italian Meatballs Recipe

A delicious recipe for classic Italian meatballs made with a blend of beef and turkey bacon for added flavor.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, turkey bacon, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
  6. In a saucepan, heat marinara sauce over medium heat. Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 5-10 minutes.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can mix in some chopped onions.
  • These meatballs can also be grilled for a smoky flavor.
