Creamy Corn Chowder

A delicious, creamy corn chowder enhanced with turkey bacon and chicken ham for a delightful twist.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups corn kernels
  • 1 cup diced turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced chicken ham
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  2. Add turkey bacon and chicken ham, cook until browned.
  3. Stir in corn and chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Use an immersion blender to blend the soup until smooth, or blend in batches in a regular blender.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and thyme, season with salt and pepper, and heat gently before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using smoked turkey bacon.
  • Adjust the cream amount for desired thickness.
