Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

A deliciously creamy macaroni and cheese enriched with turkey bacon and chicken ham.

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop into pieces.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter and whisk in the flour to create a roux.
  4. Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
  5. Add in the cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  6. Mix in the cooked macaroni, chicken ham, and turkey bacon.
  7. Season with black pepper, salt, and garlic powder. Stir to combine.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the cheese sauce.
  • Can substitute other types of cheese, such as mozzarella or gouda.
