  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in the crock pot and pour the sauce over the top.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  4. Once cooked, remove the chicken and set aside. Mix cornstarch with water and add it to the remaining sauce in the crock pot. Stir well.
  5. Cook on high for another 15-30 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Return the chicken to the pot and coat it with the sauce before serving.
