- 2 pounds chicken thighs
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- In a large bowl, whisk together the bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, garlic, and ginger.
- Place the chicken thighs in the crock pot and pour the sauce over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken and set aside. Mix cornstarch with water and add it to the remaining sauce in the crock pot. Stir well.
