1 pound chicken breasts
4 cups chicken broth
1 cup sliced carrots
1 cup chopped celery
1 onion diced
2 cups egg noodles
4 slices turkey bacon
2 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Instructions
In a crockpot, combine chicken breasts, chicken broth, carrots, celery, onion, turkey bacon, garlic, and thyme.
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until chicken is cooked through.
Remove chicken, shred it, and return to the pot.
Stir in egg noodles, cover, and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
Notes
You can substitute regular bacon if preferred.
