Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the beef stew meat in the Instant Pot.
  2. Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the meat.
  3. Add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
  4. Seal the Instant Pot lid and cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
  5. After cooking, allow for natural release for 10 minutes, then quick release the remaining pressure.
  6. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry, then add to the pot and stir well.
  7. Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and cook until sauce thickens.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use quality beef stew meat.
  • This recipe can also be served over rice or mashed potatoes.
