  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy and then drain excess fat.
  3. Add onions, carrots, and peas, cooking until softened.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well to coat.
  5. Slowly add chicken broth and cream, stirring constantly until thickened.
  6. Mix in chicken, thyme, and garlic powder, then remove from heat.
  7. Pour the filling into a pie crust and cover with another crust.
  8. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  10. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
