Homemade Easy Chicken Pot Pie Recipe

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 4 strips turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a pan, cook turkey bacon and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté onions until translucent.
  4. Add flour and stir for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually add chicken broth and milk while stirring.
  6. Mix in chicken, turkey bacon, vegetables, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  7. Pour mixture into the pie crust and cover with another crust.
  8. Cut slits in the top crust and bake for 30-35 minutes.

Notes

  • Let the pie cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  • For a crispy crust, brush with egg wash before baking.
