Honey Glazed Carrots and Green Beans

These honey glazed carrots and green beans are an easy and delicious side dish that pairs well with any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the carrots. Cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the green beans and cook for another 3-4 minutes until both vegetables are tender.
  3. Drain the vegetables and return them to the pot.
  4. Add the honey, butter, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Cook over low heat for an additional 2 minutes to glaze the vegetables.

Notes

  • You can substitute maple syrup for honey if desired.
  • Add a sprinkle of nuts for extra texture.
