Old Fashioned Scalloped Potatoes and Ham

A comforting dish of layers of potatoes, ham, and creamy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 2 cups diced chicken ham
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the potatoes.
  3. Add a layer of chicken ham and turkey bacon.
  4. Sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, ham, bacon, and cheese.
  6. In a bowl, mix the cream, butter, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then pour over the layers.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding chopped onions or chives.
  • This dish can be prepared a day in advance and baked when ready to serve.
