Salmon Sushi Bake Recipe

A delicious and comforting Salmon Sushi Bake recipe that combines traditional sushi flavors in a simple baked dish.

  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  3. In a saucepan, combine sushi rice and water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover and simmer for 18-20 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
  5. Once the rice is cooked, stir in the vinegar mixture and let cool.
  6. While the rice cools, prepare the salmon by baking it in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine mayo and sriracha to make the spicy sauce.
  8. Flake the cooked salmon and mix it with the spicy mayo.
  9. In a baking dish, layer sushi rice, followed by the salmon mixture. Sprinkle green onions on top.
  10. Bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes, until heated through.
  11. Serve warm, garnished with nori strips.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add avocado slices on top before baking.
  • Adjust the spiciness of the mayo according to your taste.
