Shepherd’s Pie Soup

A hearty and flavorful twist on classic shepherd’s pie, perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups potatoes, diced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add onions and garlic, sauté until onions are translucent.
  3. Stir in carrots and peas, cooking for another 5 minutes.
  4. Add broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  5. Add diced potatoes, reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with lentils.
  • Top with cheese for extra flavor.
