Slow Cooker Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls

A delicious take on traditional cabbage rolls, using turkey bacon for added flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 6 ounces turkey bacon
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Dice the onion and garlic, then sauté in a pan until translucent.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, sautéed onion and garlic, crushed tomatoes, rice, and seasonings.
  3. Remove cabbage leaves and layer the mixture in a slow cooker.
  4. Layer the cabbage leaves back on top.
  5. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding your favorite herbs and spices.
  • This dish pairs well with a side salad.
