1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this dry mixture into the creamed mixture.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For even chewier cookies, refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
